Cheoksan Hot Spring Recreation Village is famous for legend that a crane that hurt its wing healed the wound with the hot water from this spring. Hot spring water comes out from 4,000m under the ground and is 50-53 degrees hot strong alkali water. It contains around 10 dfferent minerals including sulfur, sodium and radium, which is great for diseases including digestive trouble, neuralgia and skin troubles. Climbers of Seoraksan often visits here and gets very crowded around 5 pm, so you should visit the village some other time if you want to relax and enjoy spa.
