[Geonbongsa Temple]

Established by Ado-whasang in the 7th year of Silla King Beopheung(520A.D.) with the original name of Wongaksa, Geonbongsa was restored by Naongwhasang in the reign of King Gongmin(1358A.D.) and changed of new name. In Geumgangsan Geonbongsa the Great Monk Samyeong collected monk soldiers to fight against Japanese intruders during Imjin Battle and Manhae Han Yong-un was once a monk here. Bulibun was set up here in 1902. After 766-Kan Geonbongsa was mostly burned during the Korean War, the remaining building has been preserved as Gangwon-do Cultural Asset Material No.35.

[Jinburyeong Pass Valley]
Location : Jinbu-ri Ganseong-eub Goseong-gun Gangwon
Distinctive 4-seasoned and well-preserved Jinburyeong Pass links Goseong-gun and Injen, namely Yongdong and Yongseo Province. Exquisitely tinted autumnal leaves are best of its beauties.

[Dowon Valley]

In front of entrance of Dowon Valley, you can easily notice a Senior Center and a big deciduous tree. Called Sambaekgol(300) by town people, Dowon-ri possesses three hundred valleys. With a number of peach trees and many clear creeks, this town used to be called Mureungdowon ('paradise in heaven' shown in the book, Samgukji) but is had to change the name into Dowon-ri ('Peach Garden') by the pressure from authorities.

[Tong-il Lookout]

Far east of the East Sea, in Hyeonaemyeon Myeonghori, 70m-high Tong-il Lookout commands the view of Geumgangsan and other landscape of North Korea like Guseonbong ('9 Angels' Peak') and Haegeumgang ('under water Geumgangsan').

[Hwaamsa Temple]
Location : Sinpyeongri Toseong-myeon Goseong-gun Gangwon

Located in Goseong-gun Toseong-myeon Sinpyeong-ri, far south of Geumgangsan. Hwaamsa was constructed in the 5th year of Sillar King Hyegong(869AD) as the same name of Hwaamsa in north of Seoraksan. The temple has been burned out for 5 times and rebuilt each time.
