The dazzlingly white beach is surrounded by evergreen pine groves. In the summer, the shady groves of pine trees shelter visitors from the heat and glare of sunlight. The beach opens for 40 days from July 20th of every year, and holds the Summer Beach Festival, Seorak Triathlon and other various events during the time. Sokcho Beach is a well-known place among beach goers in Korea.

Driving from Sokcho-si via Cheongchoho to National Road No.7, you can find the entrance in front of the Terminal. Coming from Yangyang to National Road No.7, you should pass straight by Daepo Port and a hill to reach it easily.
