Mt. seoraksan is a natural work of art.
It is the most beautiful portion of Baekdudaegan.
Mt. Seoraksan is adorned with thodendrons and wild flowers in spring, thick and green foliage in summer, autumn tints in fall, and dazzling snow in winter.

The 5th National park
Designated as the Precious Natural Product No. 171, on Nov. 5, 1965 and as the 5th National park, Mar.24, 1970, Seorak and its vicinity over 163.7§´ was also assigned as unique biological reserve zone of rare life's habitat in Korea on Aug.12, 1982 by UNESCO.
The park is 373§´ in area, pervading 4 cities or counties of Gangwon-do namely Sokcho-si, Inje-gun, Goseong-gun, and Yangyang-gun. The park is divided by the highest peak in Daecheongbong into Eastern area called Outer-Seorak, and Western called Inner-Seorak.
Outer-Seorak includes Seorak-dong, Sokcho-si boasting Cheonbul-dong Valley, Ulsanbawi, Towangseong Falls, Biseondae, Gwimyeong-am, Geumgang Cave, Oryeon Falls, and Yang Falls while Inner-Seorak pervades over Baekdam Valley, Suryeom-dong Valley, Gaya-dong Valley, Yong-a Great Wall, Baegun Valley, Gwiddegigol, Sibiseonyeo Pool.
