1.5km north of Daepohang, developed in 1980s as small-scale seaport, Oeongchihang features live fish market and well known for Garibi fishing. Fishing on a breakwater is available and sushi places are just for families. South from Seoraksan via Dalmabong, Jubongsan, Cheongdaesan peaks winds up around this port, as a big tour site. Far east of Sokcho, Oeongchihang has plenty of tourism potential like sunrise place and Ocean Museum.
