Guimyeonam had its name from its grotesque face-looking rocks like Sillar's Guimyeonwa. The granite rocks have weathered into various peculiar shapes.

Its vertical cliffs pervade in the width of 78km with a variety of rock shapes like Manmulsang in Geumgangsan.
