500m northeast of Sinheungsa, Haunam in current Anyang-am area was said to be established along with Hyangseongsa in 652A.D.(Silla Queen Jindeok, the 6th year.) by Jajangyusa. After it was burned out in 1816(King Seonjo, the 17th year, Joseon Dyansty), Baegunam was moved here from Baegun-dong by Jeongyeongseonsa.

Monk Lee Daeseok rebuilt it in 1949 and Monk Im Beopji remodeled it to continue the temple as a prayer temple in Seoraksan.
